Provides the overall operation, direction and leadership for the Matagorda Regional Medical Center (星际娱乐app) 实验室服务 Management Team and laboratory staff in technical performance, 实验室操作, 以及客户服务. This includes effective development, organization and ongoing administrative operations of 星际娱乐app 实验室服务. In collaboration with other 星际娱乐app leadership, Medical Staff and Medical Director of 实验室服务, establishes and assures quality outcomes and assists and advises on all quality improvement programs undertaken by 星际娱乐app 实验室服务. Assists and advises in financial management, 预算, capital equipment acquisition, and 星际娱乐app 实验室服务 planning. Patients of all ages are served through 星际娱乐app 实验室服务 program. Implements and abides by Service Excellence Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.

The Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist acting in the Clinical Lab Director with General Supervisor qualifications [Clia}§493.1461  assures that care is delivered to all patients within established legal, 道德, laboratory and hospital guidelines.  They will be responsible for education of staff, 病人及家属, have excellent communication skills and exhibit professional behavior at all times.  Institute appropriate interventions according to department policy and procedure, facilitate patient flow and communicate relevant information to the appropriate health care providers, the patient and the family. Facilitate use of the appropriate resources for support. As laboratory director, you must assure that testing systems in the laboratory provide quality services in all aspects of test performance; physical and environmental conditions of the laboratory are adequate and appropriate for the testing performed; the environment for employees is safe from physical, 化学, and biological hazards and safety and biohazard requirements are followed; a general supervisor (high complexity testing) is available to provide day-to-day supervisor of all testing personnel and reporting of test results as well as provide on-site supervision for specific minimally qualified testing personnel when they are performing high complexity testing; sufficient numbers of appropriate educated, experienced and/or trained personnel who provide appropriate consultation, 适当的监督, and 准确的ly perform tests and report test results in accordance with the written duties and responsibilities specified by you, are employed by the laboratory; new test procedures are reviewed, included in the procedure manual and followed by personnel; and each employee’s responsibilities and duties are specified in writing.

MINIMUM QUALLIFICATIONS

•  Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biological, Physical or Clinical Laboratory Science
•  Training and experience in moderate and high complexity testing required
•  National Certification by ASCP, AMT, AAB preferred
